Pet Adoptions

Sponsored by Subaru Loves Pets

Find your next family member at Twin Cities Auto Show!  Subaru will be hosting puppy and dog adoptions as a part of their Subaru Loves Pets Campaign.  The puppies and dogs will be from Midwest Animal Rescues and Services, a local organization committed to the awareness and support of homeless dogs and cats in their area. Through rescue, rehabilitation, foster car, training and adoption all roads lead home for these special animals.

We encourage all auto show attendees to visit our exhibit and consider adopting a pet. Those not looking to adopt are invited to donate to help pets in the community. All donations made at our pet adoption exhibit go directly to help animals at our partner shelters.

For more information on Subaru Loves Pets, please visit www.subaru.com/pets, as well as follow #SubaruLovesPets and #MakeADogsDay on social media.

About Midwest Animal Rescue & Services:

Midwest Animal Rescue & Services (MARS) is committed to serving both pet and parent, finding homes for animals that were once lost, left behind and forgotten, while bringing harmony and enhancing education in our community. They are a dedicated and passionate group who rescues dogs and cats that are at risk and homeless through no fault of their own. Once in MARS’ care, these companion animals are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Special attention is provided for those animals that need additional time and medical care before going to a new home.

MARS is committed to helping pets in need whenever possible, including all breeds and ages. The rescue does not have a shelter facility for boarding, and are a foster-based group that runs on the support and aid of dedicated volunteers and supporters.  The fostered pets live in homes, as family members, receiving all of the love and care they would in an adoptive home, until they are adopted. The adopters gain greater insight into the pets’ behavior and personality versus interacting with an animal who has been living in a kennel and the pet is more prepared for a loving home life. This helps produce the best match possible for the new families, resulting in a 99% success rate!

Subaru Loves Pets- Returning The Love Pets Give Us.

“At Subaru, we look forward to opportunities that help our furry friends in need, and we want to return the unconditional love they show us each day,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Subaru of America, Inc. “We saw great success with our pet adoption events last year, so we wanted to not only sustain, but build upon, that momentum to help even more pets unite with a loving lifetime companion.”

Subaru of America is proud to partner with local animal shelters and rescues to host this pet adoption event during the auto show. Together, the goal is to find forever homes for the many animals in need in the community. Over 1,200 pets have been adopted since Subaru began hosting adoption events at auto shows in 2018.

According to ASPCA, approximately 6.3 million animals enter shelters each year. Our hope is that these adoption events can raise awareness for the animals in need of forever homes and ideally, unite a companion pet with a loving lifetime owner.

To date, Subaru and its retailers have donated over $51 million to national and local organizations to help in the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 420,000 animals nationwide.

Minnesota State Patrol

Say hi to the Minnesota State Patrol at the Twin Cities Auto Show!
Troopers can talk about their mission to keep people safe on the road and answer traffic-related questions from visitors. The State Patrol’s traffic safety work helps Minnesotans stay safe and encourages people to slow down, plan a sober ride, pay attention, and buckle up.

The troopers will have a Charger on display.

State Patrol Vehicles at past Twin Cities Auto Shows.

1954 Ford

The 1954 Ford is a replica of the patrol cars used during the State Patrol’s 25th anniversary year. Looking very simple by today’s standards, it has everything a patrol car needed in 1954. It is equipped with Ford’s new for 1954 overhead valve Interceptor V8 engine, 4-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust, and 3-speed manual transmission. Equipment added by the State Patrol includes a 2-way radio, emergency lighting, and siren. The State Patrol cars were purchased in a variety of colors in 1954. The now familiar maroon paint debuted in 1958.

1979 Dodge St. Regis

The 1979 Dodge St. Regis is an actual surviving patrol car originally issued to a trooper in the Owatonna area. It saw patrol service for only a short time before it was reassigned and used for displays, parades, and other civic events in celebration of the State Patrol’s 50th anniversary year and continues to serve in this capacity 42 years later. The Dodge is equipped with a police version of the 360 cubic inch V8 with Torqueflite automatic transmission, dual exhaust, and a host of other police-only components.
