As Lexus’ first global battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, the RZ marks Lexus’ transition into a BEV-centered brand. The new all-wheel drive system called DIRECT4, along with the newly developed high-output electronic axle (eAxle) motor, continuously controls the drive force of the four wheels with high precision. "Seamless E-Motion" is the design concept that expresses seamless acceleration and a dynamic sense of torque unique to a BEV. RZ’s spindle shape design generates a distinctive roof spoiler to suppress aerodynamic force acting on the body in a crosswind. The RZ’s cabin is airy and luxurious.
